Spiritual painting by Lala Lotos
The harmony of outward beauties and the poetry of form must reveal God to the infancy of man.
Eliphas Levi
Hello, I'm Lala. This is my real name, and Lala Lotos is a creative pseudonym. For me lotus is a symbol of creativity and vitality, purity and balance. My creative work must be necessarily be multi-faceted, multi-petal. I make visionary paintings, I paint\ Orthodox icons according to historical rules, I design the jewelry artifacts using the natural gemstones. I am a Master of Reiki and Tantra Reiki, a practicing astrologer and coach. I am also a mother of three children, who keep me busy and grounded, constantly puzzling me with new challenges.
Most my adult life I was designing jewelry. I don't do work on metal and stones, but I choose stones or rather communicate with them, which is probably the most important part of my work. I see stones' value as conduits or activators of energies and information flow to which I am sensitive. For many years I have been trying to convey my sensations in words, and at some point I thought that what I can't verbalize, I can try to express through images, using my experience as an artist. I tune in to a certain stone and just fix on the canvas what passes through me.
A while ago I did a similar series of planets in their astrological understanding. I took several specialized courses at once, so such visual embodiment became one of the ways for me to assimilate this. What important to me in this theme of planets is the concealed profound archetypes, because behind these images I see hidden deep archetypes rooted in the ancient Greek, Roman and Slavic myths that continue to teach us how to behave. It is probably no coincidence that a sizeable portion of my paintings adorn the workrooms of psychologists, astrologers and healers today.
Despite the metaphysical and largely research context of my work, I have always been keen on the depth of the Orthodox faith. This pursuit led me to the Neopalimaya Kupina school of icon painting, where for several years I studied the innumerable subtleties of ancient (Canonical) and more realistic (Fryazh) icon painting styles. The truth is, even the most careful copying of old icons cannot hide the signs of copyist's individual style, but yet here I try to keep my inner experimenter within strict limits. I am very glad that my icons serve people and God in several churches in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
Hearing God is easy. You just have to listen to Him carefully. I am convinced that Divine realization is available to everyone, but first you need to understand who you are, to establish a trusting connection with your Soul.
With my creativity, I help people to find a contact with their Light Patrons.
Stones, icons, archetypal figures - all these are communication channels that are open to me to some extent.
Everything I do can be called exercise in the transmission of Light. And not only in its optical sense.
